Raben Group selects RedPrairie WMS to support growth

ATLANTA &PRAGUE - Raben Group, a leading European logistics services provider with over 5,000 employees, has selected RedPrairie's Warehouse Management System (WMS) to support its growth across Europe. Recently, Raben Group has added various new sites to its business. The RedPrairie WMS will enable Raben Group to manage growth and to deliver customer service at even higher level.

Raben Group selected the RedPrairie WMS after an extensive search among various solutions. Raben Group stores and transports many different products, varying from food and fresh goods, FMCG, spare parts and machines that need special handling. Therefore, the company needed a WMS that provides ample flexibility.

The RedPrairie system will initially be implemented at sites in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. After that, sites in the Ukraine and Hungary will be rolled out. With the new system, Raben Group will benefit from the various features of the RedPrairie WMS, including voice picking, pick to light and storage and picking algorithms. This is expected to result in better processes, leading to increased productivity, improved efficiency and cost savings.

Currently, Raben Group has 77 depots in 10 European countries. About 3,000 of the 5,200 employees work in the warehouses. In June 2011 Raben Group announced the acquisition of German Road Network and operations in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia from Wincanton.
