Our Culture

Community Involvement

RedPrairie Corporation supports the efforts of its employees to be actively involved in the improvement of our communities through volunteerism. To further plan and communicate events, we have developed the V.O.I.C.E. (Volunteer Outreach Impacting Community Efforts) team with representatives from RedPrairie offices throughout the US. The purpose of the committee is to lead or assist in leading events at various locations.

Employee Dana Stephens was one of our $500 Drawing Donation Winners for Q1 in 2011. Dana chose Camp Sonshine in South Africa as the recipients of the $500 donation. Dana have gone to volunteer at Camp Sonshine for the past three years.

The Atlanta office held a Chili for Charity event on April 20, 2011. As a result of the fundraising activity, the team raised over $1,100 for the United Mitochrondrial Disease Foundation. In addition, several of the Atlanta employees participated in a fundraising walk to support the foundation.

The Atlanta location put on a carwash to raise money for the Lighthouse Family Retreat in Atlanta. Employees, including executives, washed cars and raised $850 for the charity!

Waukesha employees were able to purchase raffle tickets for a Brewers VIP experience; and $787.00 was raised for the Make-a-Wish Foundation! Winners of the raffle were able to have their picture taken Milwaukee Brewer Jonathan Lucroy, as well as receive his autograph.

All of RedPrairie's American locations were able to participate in an online fundraising event to benefit Feeding America. In addition, the Waukesha location held a Shopping Cart Relay, to help raise funds. In total, RedPrairie raised over $18,000.00 in donations to Feeding America.

Eleven Waukesha employees participated in a Habitat for Humanity Workday in October. Their project was a day of painting with the Habitat project managers at a home in Milwaukee. Valspar, one of RedPrairie's customers, was the supplier of the paint.

The Atlanta also sponsored families during the holiday season; their organization was the North Fulton Community Charity. Atlanta employees donated and wrapped gifts for the two families. In addition, the employees sponsored a Thanksgiving and holiday meal for a local elderly couple.

Waukesha employees donated, wrapped, and delivered presents to the Christmas Clearing Council of Waukesha County. Additional funds were used to purchase other toys and games for the Clearing Council's Toy Store, and for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Milwaukee County.

The Singapore office participated in the Bright Smiles, Bright Futures campaign, collecting 999 toothbrushes for the Caring for Cambodia charity. The organization provides students with well equiped classrooms, teachers, meals and hygiene items.

Children in Need Fundraiser - Stokenchurch

Children in Need Fundraiser - Stokenchurch
The Stokenchurch, England location held a fundraiser to benefit Children in Need, a UK based charity providing grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. Homemade cards and cakes were sold, and £139.47 was raised for the charity.

The Waukesha office was fortunate to have an awesome team of walkers for this event, with almost twice as many participants as last year. Team RedPrairie joined the thousands of walkers to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and raised a total of $3,765.

Carla Sessions was the winner of the 3rd quarter Company Match drawing and chose Trekking for Kids as the recipient. Carla went to the Guatamalan Highlands in June of 2010 with a group of 20 trekkers who, together, raised over $35,000 to purchase a second home for an orphanage, as well as toys, clothes and school supplies.

The Atlanta VOICE team organized a car wash to support the Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta. For $10, employees received an exterior wash and for $15, an exterior and a light interior. Over 50 employees participated, including several members of the leadership team. In total, $880 was raised for the Association.

8th Annual RedPrairie Open
August, 2010

The Waukesha facility held the 8th annual RedPrairie Open at the Silver Spring Golf & Banquet Center. Mike Mayoras participated as the "Pro" in the "Beat the Pro" competition which raised $520. In all, $1,380 was donated to The Children's Hospital Foundation.

The Atlanta Office held its bi-annual blood drive for the American Red Cross. Employees donated 25 pints of blood, meeting the office goal of 25 pints.

The Waukesha office held a supply donation drive to benefit the Elmbrook and Waukesha Animal Shelters. Small mice and bones with suggested donation items were posted at both buildings. A large amount of much needed items were donated by RedPrairie employees, from food to toys to cleaning supplies.

Atlanta VOICE team held a Patriot Party at the Alpharetta Senior Center. Employees decorated the party room and hosted the event. The residents at the center and the employee volunteers all greatly enjoyed the event.

Each quarter, one of the Waukesha VOICE team members takes aluminum cans into the recycling center. The cash received is then donated to a charity. This quarter, Linda Sayles and Rhonda Blum delivered the cans to the recycling center and selected The Elmbrook Humane Society to receive the $45.00 donation.

Blood Center of Wisconsin

The Waukesha facility held a blood drive through the BloodCenter of Wisconsin. The drive was the most successful drive since 2001. We were able to donate 32 units, exceeding the goal of 30 units. RedPrairie has now contributed 449 total units of blood to the Blood Center of Wisconsin.

Chiltern Challenge - UK

For a third year, RedPrairie cyclists in the UK took part in the Chiltern Challenge 100 (the Chilterns is a very hilly region to the west of London). This is a 100 mile (or 100 km) cycle ride to raise funds for the Action Medical Research charity. The team raised £190 this year.

The Atlanta VOICE team organized a Burgers for Bravery lunch to support Staff Sergeant Daniel E. Lister, who was injured in Afghanistan and will likely undergo a total of 40 surgeries between his right leg and left arm. Daniel's mother is a co-worker with Christopher Pajot's wife, Robin. The event raised $1,300.

The Waukesha VOICE team pulled out their lawn chairs and grills for a cookout to benefit the Milwaukee Rescue Mission. The event took place in the parking lot of the 20700 building. Employees enjoyed beautiful weather and yummy burgers and brats prepared by Master Chef—Mark Zylka. In total, we raised $813 in donations.

The Atlanta VOICE team held a workday at The Drake House entailing outdoor weeding, trimming and edging, along with repair/clean-up work in the interior. They also donated paper products to the Drake house. The house provides short-term crisis housing, food, assessment, and more to homeless mothers and their children.

In June, 2010 Waukesha employees volunteered at a Habitat for Humanity house in Milwaukee. The team did insulation work on the home—cutting and fitting the insulation into the walls on both levels, caulking, and covering all with plastic. RedPrairie employees may enter this quarterly drawing for up to $750 in matching funds for a specific charity event. The 2nd quarter winner, Vivianne DeBarros, chose the Down Syndrome Association. She became involved after her son Nicolas was diagnosed with Down's syndrome. She has been volunteering there for 5 years.

Fred John won one of two 2nd quarter drawings for $500 to a charity. Fred has chosen the Gwinnett Humane Society. The Gwinnett Humane Society is a volunteer–based program focused on adopting animals in their Owner-Sponsored Program or being cared for in a temporary volunteer foster home.

This walk is held to raise money toward cancer research, technology, education, supportive services and more. A large group of RedPrairie employees and their family and friends participated in the walk and raised $1,305 in donations.

Several RedPrairie employees participated in the Bear Trax 2010 again this year to benefit the Nancy Sellars Foundation. Held at Lapham Peak, the Bear Trax is a 20K run; they also offer a 4.3K Brownie Shuffle. Denise Allan and her girl scout troop managed the first aid station. RedPrairie donated $1,000 to this event.

For a fourth time, the Charlotte office organized a group to volunteer at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Proceeds from the ReStore go to Habitat Charlotte's mission of creating and preserving affordable home ownership solutions. So far, the ReStore has funded 46 houses. The Atlanta office participated in the annual March of Dimes walk again this year. To generate additional funds for the walk, they held a bake sale on April 12 which raised $423 for the March of Dimes. This year they walked to support 2 NICU graduate preemies that fought to survive and are now two healthy little girls

RedPrairie once again sponsored students through the Firepup Safety Program, which has been run by the City of Waukesha Fire Department for the last 20 years. The program involves the distribution of fire education materials to school-aged and preschool children in public and private schools throughout the community.

Noel Goggin (right) and the Denver office held an event to generate funds for the National Sports Center for the Disabled. NSCD's mission is to positively impact the lives of people with any physical or mental challenge through quality adaptive recreation programs in over 20 sports. The event raised over $6,000.00.

The Waukesha office pulled out the evergreen tree and decorated it with Easter Eggs. Enclosed in the eggs were wish list items (grocery, gas, and phone gift cards, etc.) for the Women's Center in Waukesha. In total, the donated items included: $370 in gift cards, 8 pair of pajamas and 15 9-volt batteries.

The Eden Prairie Office joined with neighboring Alliance Pipeline again this year in the Second Annual Chili Cook-Off, raising $1,200 to benefit the VFW Operation Up-Link to purchase phone cards for military soldiers to our service men and women overseas. Shashank Dhadphale took 2nd place. Helen Teklu also participated.

JDRF Walk - Eden Prairie

Teresa Rosengren led an Eden Prairie team in a walk to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Over 550 teams participated in the walk and raised over $1.9 million. The team walked in support of a 6 year old boy—Evan diagnosed with type 1 juvenile diabetes last summer and was able to raise $1400.00.

On February 14, the Milwaukee Admirals Hockey Team played the San Antonio Rampage in their annual charity game. RedPrairie employees were able to purchase game tickets for $3. On February 12, the Waukesha VOICE team, led by Christine Hornak and Greg Marr, held a pancake breakfast to raise money for the American Heart Association. For a $5.00 donation, employees received a plate of pancakes, sausage and a beverage. This event raised $280.00 in donations.

John Russo and the Atlanta office held a Shoe Drive for children in Haiti, donating gently used, but wearable, shoes in all sizes. Children need shoes in order to attend school in Haiti and shoes also protect their feed from cuts, bruises, and life-threatening disease and illness contracted through feet.

On January 26, the Waukesha office held a Red Shirt and Jeans Day to benefit the American Heart Association. For a donation of $5 (or more), employees were able to wear jeans (and a red shirt) to work. $350.00 was raised in donations to the American Heart Association.

In response to the terrible devastation from the earthquake in Haiti, a RedPrairie fund was established through the Salvation Army for employee donations. Employees also donated to other charities providing relief in Haiti. RedPrairie matched 50 cents for every dollar donated. Total funds raised were over $7,975.00.

The Cary office is continuing their ongoing food drive, led by Chuck Simpkins and Andrea Restle-Lay. Due to the large increase in food demand, the food bank is focusing their resources on getting the necessary food and cutting back on food pickups. Chuck and Andrea have responded by arranging their own transportation.

First Quarter 2010

On a quarterly basis, a member of the Waukesha VOICE team exchanges the accumulated aluminum cans. The cash generated from the recyclables is donated to a local charity. This quarter, Betsy Gomoll took the cans to the recycling center and selected the Hope Center in Waukesha to receive the donation of $49.00.

Generous RedPrairie employees joyfully purchased gifts again this year to make the holidays a little brighter for those in need. Three families in Waukesha and two families in Milwaukee received gifts wrapped by members of the V.O.I.C.E. team, putting smiles on the faces of 19 children.

Employees in the Alpharetta office sponsored two families through North Fulton Community Charities. Each family has three children ranging in age from 4 to 10. The office has enthusiastically partnered with the organization to support local families during the holidays for five years.

The Charlotte office worked through The Salvation Army and created an 'Angel Tree' for a single mother and her two-year-old twins. With an initial goal of $300, this small office generously donated $522 which the VOICE Team used to shop for toys, clothes and gift cards for the family.

RedPrairie employees rallied to support the Lukemia & Lymphoma Society again this year raising a total of $17,118. The Atlanta office held a car wash, poker tournament, and a sports day, both Waukesha and Atlanta participated in their local Light the Night Walk, and there was a very successful all facility online auction.

Generous Cary employees donated 230 pounds of food to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. RedPrairie responded by donating an additional $338, matching the dollar value of the food donation. Each dollar donated pays for $8 worth of food, expanding the gift further.

August 2009

RedPrairie US offices donated over $14,000 in cash and food items, including a company match of nearly $4,500, to support Second Harvest and local Feeding America food banks. Events in Waukesha included a cookout, raffle & shopping cart relay in which Team 20825 beat Team 20700.

This year RedPrairie has added a third quarterly drawing - this one matches an employee's fundraising efforts toward a particular event up to $750. The 2nd quarter winner, Mary Ellen Carroll of Pittsburgh, has chosen Animal Friends Tag Day Volunteer Challenge as the recipient.

RedPrairie employees from the Waukesha office enjoyed a 'parking lot picnic' lunch with hot dogs, hamburgers and all the fixins. $752 was raised for the American Heart Association.

Chair Massage Day - Waukesha

The Waukesha Office held a chair massage day with services provided at a reduced cost by local massage therapist PJ Rockwell. A total of $180 in proceeds was donated to the American Heart Association, the designated 2nd quarter charity.

Ten members of the Pittsburgh office enjoyed a beautiful Friday in May assisting the Washington County Habitat for Humanity. The crew's tasks for the day included installing siding, gutters and downspouts. Here the team stands in front of their work.

Riverwalk for Breast Cancer – Waukesha

A team of 33 walkers from RedPrairie's Waukesha office participated again this year in Waukesha Memorial Hospital's Riverwalk to benefit cancer research, education, supportive services. The team raised over $1,500.00 in donations.

Bear Trak 20K Run – Waukesha

Several RedPrairie employees participated in the Bear Trax 20K despite the rainy weather. The event was coordinated in memory of Nancy Sellars, an avid runner and skier who was killed by a drunk driver last year.

Employees from the Atlanta office raised $1,735 for the March of Dimes and participated once again in the 2009 'Walk for Babies.'

Second Harvest Volunteer Day and Food Drive - Charlotte
April 2009

A group of RedPrairie volunteers from the Charlotte office spent an afternoon at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina warehouse sorting collected food for the agencies that give directly to the needy.

Chili Cook-Off - Eden Prairie
April 2009

The Eden Prairie Office joined with other companies in their building for a Chili Cook-Off, raising nearly $1000 for the VFW Operation Up-Link to purchase phone cards for military soldiers.

Elmbrook Humane Society Clean-up

A group of Waukesha employees took a few hours out of their weekend to help out at the Elmbrook Humane Society. The team, led by Bonny Pedersen, included: Kathy Wiseman, Barb Cloud, Bert Perrizo, Kim Sciortino, Chris Wade and Rhonda Blum.

Pet supplies donated to local shelters
February 2009

Waukesha employees responded overwhelmingly to a request for donated items needed by homeless animals in our community. The collection of pet food, litter, pet toys, blankets and other items was divided between H.A.W.S of Waukesha and Elmbrook Humane Society.
